This annual event helps provide vital assistance to our friends and neighbors who are battling a cancer diagnosis in our community. Your support makes it easier for our friends to fill their gas tanks, stock their refrigerators, or to assist in offsetting the cost of a 3D mammogram. This funding has helped Gritman purchase equipment and create spaces like our wig room, so more patients have the resources they need right here in our community. We look forward to seeing you at the Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail.
Your attendance and support at these events helps make several Gritman programs possible:
The Gritman
Cancer Care Fund
is the best way to donate to cancer care in our region; it allows the Gritman Foundation to support cancer patients in countless ways. This fund supports Bosom Buddies, Light a Candle, cancer-care equipment, helps patients on a need-by-need basis, and much more.
The Gritman Foundation
Light a Candle Program
helps people in our region who are facing cancer. Designed to ease some of the burdens that come with facing cancer, we can help with services like housekeeping, grocery assistance, massage therapy, gas cards and more.
Early detection saves lives, and regular mammograms are the best way to detect breast cancer early.
Bosom Buddies
provides free screening mammograms to local women who are unable to pay for the screening on their own. The screening mammograms are available to women who receive their medical care in Latah County. A physician’s referral is required.

Relive some of the amazing moments from Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail events.
The Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail events, hosted by the
Gritman Foundation
, are historically two of Moscow’s premier fundraising events, and have been united into a single gala event in 2025. Continuing the tradition set forth by the vision of former first lady of Idaho, Patricia Kempthorne, our efforts to provide early breast cancer detection through free screening mammograms have reached more than 1,000 women in our area. In recent years, we’ve challenged the community to think beyond pink and we extended cancer support services to all who have been touched by cancer.

We have been fortunate to hear stories from cancer survivors like Maria Horta Vorse and her husband, Chad Vorse. A common theme arose from the survivors who have spoken – no one fights alone, and when a community comes together to support someone battling cancer, special and lifelong bonds are made.
