We assist students in meeting their college expenses by administering financial assistance programs. To be eligible to receive financial aid, students must be admitted to the University. How to Apply Start by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. Use SUSLA’s code 007686 to ensure your financial aid application reaches our office. Before creating your financial aid award notice, our office along with the Department of Education will ensure that you meet the basic eligibility requirements—such as enrollment, citizenship status, satisfactory academic progress, and loan default status.
