Benefits of Dual Enrollment
Benefits of enrolling in college classes while in high school:
Earning credits that can be transferred to college.
Saving money by taking the courses prior to college. The student does not have to pay for these college courses.
Gaining exposure to a college environment (if taking in-person courses) and college-level learning.
Students who take advantage of the opportunity to dual enroll in college courses often earn as much as a year’s worth of college classes by the time they finish high school.
Adrian College participates in the Michigan Transfer Agreement, which allows students to seamlessly transfer the courses they take at other Michigan colleges and universities to Adrian College.
Cost
Nonpublic and private high school students
may enroll in any class offered at Adrian College.
The State of Michigan pays for the cost of dual enrollment.
This includes tuition, course fees, textbooks, and required materials.
Public high school students
may take any class offered at Adrian College for $125/credit hour.  Some courses have pre-requisite requirements and these must be met in order to enroll in those courses.  To find which courses have pre-requisite requirements, please look at the semester class schedule.
