In the middle of it all in McDowell Mountain Ranch: Desert Canyon Middle School features a picturesque campus with a 12-building facility that includes a full-size gymnasium, art rooms, a ceramics center, a digital and hard copy library, a full lunch room, a maker’s space, a Cafetorium, a Blackbox theatre, independent science labs, and two outdoor classrooms. Additionally, the school boasts soccer fields, baseball and softball fields, a basketball court, and a turfed practice field. The campus is conveniently surrounded by the City of Scottsdale's public library, aquatic center, skate park, hiking paths, and fields.
