For 50 years, UCLA’s Department of Urban Planning has been a leading center of innovation and action. We are consistently ranked among the nation’s top planning programs. Academic Programs
MASTER OF URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING
A two-year professional-degree program focused on the role of cities and urban space located in one of the world’s truly global cities — Los Angeles.
MASTER OF REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT
This is a one-year, STEM-designated innovative graduate program in real estate development, educating skilled changemakers to tackle our most pressing social and environmental challenges.
Ph.D. DEGREE
A four-year academic program in which students develop the research skills and experience to produce influential scholarship and secure jobs at leading research institutions.
CONCURRENT DEGREE PROGRAMS
Dual-degree programs with the following other graduate programs on the UCLA campus: architecture, business, Latin American Studies, law and public health.
DUAL DEGREE PROGRAM
The Urban School of Sciences Po (Paris) and the Urban Planning Department at UCLA (Los Angeles), two of the most highly rated programs in urbanism, policies, governance and urban planning in the world, have launched a new dual master’s degree program.
