The Arts - Albright College The Arts The Center for the Arts is a gathering place at the heart of our academic community that fosters an ongoing dialogue about the arts that is relevant to the intellectual, cultural and personal lives of our students. With its unique interdisciplinary environment of classrooms, studios, galleries and performing spaces , the Center for the Arts provides a nexus for artists and their audiences that supports the wide variety of artistic and scholarly activities in which we engage. We invite both our academic and community partners to join us as we continue to explore the ever-changing values and ideas of our society, through the Liberal Arts tradition of experiential learning. Where there is now a hub of community activity bringing people together in the arts and culture, there once stood a leader in the safety industry whose groundbreaking innovations spanned over a century. The Berks Arts Council Berks Arts Council’s mission is to encourage and promote all of the arts, to develop an appreciation of the arts, and to enrich and enhance the quality of life in Berks County. The Arts Council presents the Berks Jazz Fest, the Bandshell Concert Series, the Pagoda Awards, the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts re-granting program, the Music Composition Program, and provides art exhibition opportunities for member artists. The Reading Symphony Orchestra The Reading Symphony Orchestra’s mission is to provide and promote high quality symphonic music to the citizens of Reading and Berks County through: Classical subscription concerts Pops concerts Concerts for students Youth orchestras Educational and community outreach programs The Reading Public Museum The mission of the Reading Public Museum, a dynamic center of lifelong learning, is to collect, preserve and interpret objects of art, science and civilization in order to educate, enlighten and engage current and future generations. Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center The Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center are the main performance centers in downtown Reading, hosting national and international performers and performances.
