As part of the admissions process, pre-kindergarten through first-grade students will be required to complete two phases of admissions assessments: an Individual Evaluation and an Observation Assessment. Registration for both assessments is in the
Admissions Portal
.
The Individual Evaluation will take place during the school day (Monday - Friday) at FBCA. The evaluation will take approximately one hour to complete. A $100.00 testing fee will be assessed for each child at the time of registration for the Individual Evaluation.
The Observation Assessment will take place in a group setting on a Saturday morning for approximately one hour.
Once all of the above items are submitted, FBCA will review your completed application and may schedule a Family Interview.

For grades closed due to capacity, applicants with completed applications may enter the wait pool. As space becomes available, the Admissions Office will notify families in the wait pool if their student(s) have been selected for the current year’s enrollment.

Students preparing for the ISEE are invited to join our Prep for Success: ISEE Strategies workshop series, designed to build confidence and sharpen test-taking skills ahead of exam day. Each workshop focuses on specific sections of the test, offering targeted strategies and guided practice.
These workshops are for families who have completed the FBCA 2026-27 Application.
Math Strategies Workshop
Date: Tuesday, December 9, 2025
Times:
4:30–5:30 PM: For students applying to grades 5–8 (Lower & Middle Level exams)
5:30–6:30 PM: For students applying to grades 9–12 (Upper Level exam)
