Dr. Ming-Han Li
Dean
Dr. Li is an academic landscape architect and urban planning leader. Dr. Li’s unique strength is his interdisciplinary professional background. He is a certified planner, professional engineer and professional landscape architect, with a bachelor of science degree in agricultural engineering (National Taiwan University), master of science in civil engineering (The University of Texas at Austin), both master of landscape architecture and PhD in urban and regional sciences from Texas A&M University (TAMU).

Julia Lindgren is an Assistant Professor at CAPPA UTA, where she teaches design-build studios and seminars focused on social equity and community engagement. Her research explores how design processes can be used to restructure the distribution of power within cities.

Dr. Deden Rukmana
Director of the Master of City and Regional Planning program
Dr. Rukmana is a professor at UTA. His research centers on homelessness, health disparities, and food insecurity. He is also interested in international development planning, particularly on development challenges in Indonesian cities and megacities in the Global South. Dr. Rukmana is the Global Planning Education Association Network (GPEAN) secretary from 2022 to 2026.

Interim Director of the Institute of Urban Studies (IUS)
As the Interim Director and an applied urban scholar, she addresses real-world problems in local communities across the North Texas region. Her work has appeared in academic publications, technical reports, and local and national media outlets, including Rolling Stone, ESPN, Bloomberg CityLab, South-by-Southwest, Dallas Magazine, Dallas Observer, Cleveland Scene, Haaretz, and others.

Cheryl S Donaldson
Director of Student Success and Advising
She leads CAPPA's academic advising strategy, student success initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration supporting undergraduate and graduate programs.
She is pursuing a PhD in Public Administration and Public Policy, with research interests in historic preservation governance, intergovernmental relations, and values-based public decision-making. She holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (Urban Design) and an MPA in Urban Management, and brings a scholar-practitioner lens to higher education administration and policy-informed practice.
