Creative Music Technology Facilities | University of Wales Trinity Saint David

Introduction
Specialist facilities for our Music Technology courses include the BBC Hall, two industry-standard recording studios, an analogue mixing facility, and a Dolby Atmos 9.1.4 Mixing Studio.
Facilities include:
The historic BBC Hall, rebuilt in 1951, is one of the finest acoustic spaces in the UK, utilising tuneable Helmholtz Resonators. It can be used to record everything from popular music, orchestras, opera singers, jazz bands and singer-songwriters. The studios have hosted artists as varied as Dylan Thomas, Peter Sellers, Catatonia.
Intensive training is offered in a wide range of music technology related skills and activities. The suite of studios at the university are fully equipped offering a wide range of industry standard software and hardware and purpose-built recording and performance spaces.
Our studios are run on an Apple workstation, software includes a wide range of plugins and audio applications which includes:

Our students can loan equipment to support their studies. This includes audio interfaces, microphones, location recording equipment, headphones, and much more.

Access to other areas of the Faculty is arranged through workshops, however, Swansea College of Art has a policy of allowing students shared access to all of our facilities.
