Frequently asked questions
Rider's continuing education program offers qualified, adult students the opportunity to pursue any of Rider’s more than 60 undergraduate programs at a low, per-credit rate ($680 for on-campus degree programs and $630 for online degree programs).
Continuing education students are full-time or part-time undergraduate matriculated students who are 25 years or older as of the start of their first semester. They must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Active-duty military and veterans are considered continuing education students; in appreciation of their service, they are offered the flexibility to pursue a traditional undergraduate education if they prefer.
Those under the age of 25 who are not active-duty military or veterans but are pursuing a 100% online undergraduate degree program are also considered continuing education students.
Continuing education students are able to pursue any undergraduate degree at Rider at a low, per-credit rate. Students have access to a range of flexible options, including on-campus, online, hybrid, daytime and evening classes to fit their specific needs. Individualized counseling is available to help all students decide what programs and formats are best suited for their needs. Continuing education students who qualify for any of Rider’s
university partnerships
can receive both the low, per-credit rate and the partnership discount. Continuing education students are not eligible for scholarships or grants due to the per-credit rate structure.

During the academic semesters, the majority of undergraduate courses are offered on-campus throughout the day with some night classes. Rider also offers a number of online courses and some that are offered in a hybrid format. Late-start, seven-week fall and spring online courses are also available. Courses are also offered in two seven-week summer terms as well as a three-week winter term; the majority of these courses are online offerings.
Yes, Rider offers a selection of
100% online undergraduate degree programs
to offer greater convenience for adult learners. However, the majority of our undergraduate programs are offered on-ground, with the majority of the classes offered during the day.
