Culture of Performance
At SAAS, students demonstrate their learning in relative and engaging ways. Whether presenting a project, performing on stage, leading a discussion, or competing on the field, students are expected to show what they know by applying their knowledge, integrating skills, and taking risks in real-time.
Learning in Action
From grades 6–12, students engage in project-based and problem-based learning that emphasizes:
Collaboration and Communication:
Working in teams and sharing ideas clearly and confidently.
Creative and Critical Thinking:
Using a full range of capacities—rational, emotional, intuitive, and imaginative.
Adaptability:
Reading the room, adjusting to different audiences, and navigating change and ambiguity.
Resilience:
Understanding that mistakes and uncertainty are not roadblocks but stepping stones.
This performance-based approach fosters independence and grows confidence both inside and outside of the classroom. Our alumni often cite this practice as a key factor in their success beyond SAAS.
