What is an Accelerated Combination Degree?

Accelerated Combination Degrees (Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s) provide exceptional undergraduate students with the opportunity to fast-track earning their master’s degree. Students maximize their time and resources by working on their master’s degree while finishing their bachelor’s degree.

Degree Requirements
Academic Requirements
Combination degree pathways must account for a minimum of 138 cumulative credit hours at the bachelor’s and master’s level.
A minimum of 120 credit hours at the undergraduate level.
A minimum of 30 credit hours at the graduate level.
Qualified undergraduate students at NGU may receive approval to enroll in up to four graduate courses (12 credit hours) during the final three semesters of their bachelor’s degree program.
The approved graduate credit hours will replace undergraduate credit hours in comparable subject matter as determined by the academic department.
Upon graduating with a bachelor’s degree and enrolling in the graduate program, previously completed graduate courses that received a grade of “B” or higher will be applied toward accelerated completion of a master’s degree.
Application Requirements:
To apply for a combined degree pathway, the following criteria must be met:
The student must have completed a minimum of 75 credit hours at the undergraduate level before qualifying to enroll in a graduate course.
The student must maintain both a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum disciplinary GPA of 3.0 in the major discipline to enroll in graduate courses as part of the combination degree pathway.
The student must receive approval from both the academic advisor and the appropriate graduate program director before enrolling in a graduate course.
The student must earn a grade of “B” or higher for a graduate course to count as part of the combination degree pathway.
Upon graduating with a bachelor’s degree, the student must meet all entrance requirements established by the graduate program in order for previously earned graduate courses to be applied toward accelerated completion of a master’s degree.

an
undergraduate status, they will be eligible for financial aid available as an NGU undergraduate student. Once
a student is
admitted as a graduate student,
they may
be eligible for financial aid opportunities as
an
NGU graduate student.
Does a student need to apply for admission to the approved graduate program?
Yes,
a student pursuing the Combination Degree Program
will need to complete the
graduate application
. The graduate admissions team will secure
the
NGU transcript and work with
each student
to complete the required steps of the enrollment process.
Is the accelerated program available to both onsite (traditional) and online students?
Most programs are available to both
on-site
and online student populations. Current students need to check with their academic advisor
