Mihoko Sakurai, Associate Professor at the Graduate School of International Management, International University of Japan (IUJ), participated as an expert witness in a session of the House of Councillors Committee on National Life and Economy held on April 15, 2026.
The committee examines current social and economic conditions, particularly at the regional level, under the theme of building a future-oriented society in response to changing circumstances.
Professor Sakurai has been engaged in research on ICT utilization and resilience in regional communities, drawing on her experience in international research projects in Europe and her role as a Senior Expert at Japan’s Digital Agency.
Her participation reflects her expertise and research activities in this field.
