Late Gates Program
H
ill School offers a Late Gates program that provides an opportunity for students to stay at school until 6 o’clock Monday through Thursday and 5 o’clock on Friday. For our lower school students, this includes supervised “play time” allowing children to be on the playground or in the gym. Many students welcome this opportunity to spend more time with friends and students from other grades and to have unstructured time for play.
For our upper school students, a proctored study hall is offered from 4 o’clock to 5 o’clock. After study hall, students join the Late Gates program.
Additionally, Hill School offers a variety of after-school clubs which may include:
Art Club
Drama Club
Mariposa (a girls singing group)
Pride (a boys a capella singing group)
Certamen (Latin teams that compete with other Virginia schools)
STEM
Rocket Club
Chess Club
Irish Dancing
