The use of archival collections requires an appointment.
The Library and Archives collections reflect the museum’s permanent collections, with exceptional holdings in:
American Indian artists’ biographical resources
American Indian art and culture of the Southwest
American Indian fine arts
Works created by American Indian authors including creative writing and a variety of Native studies

Visiting the Library and Archives
Visitors must sign the guest register at the Library Information Desk. The library does not allow any bags, parcels, briefcases or other personal belongings in the facilities. All personal belongings must be checked in at the Security Post located at museum admissions. Notepads and pencils are allowed in the Library. The Library and Archives staff reserves the right to verify the identification of a patron. The staff also reserves the right to inspect all materials held by a patron entering or leaving the reading area.
Permission to Publish
All requests to reproduce materials from the Library and Archives’ holdings require a completed Request for Reproductions/Application for Permission to Publish Form. The applicant agrees to abide by all terms, conditions and provisions of this agreement.

Databases
The Billie Jane Baguley Library and Archives enhances its library holdings through a variety of electronic databases which further support research and learning. The databases are divided into two sections – databases that are only available onsite and those which are readily available through the internet. Including helpful downloadable resources.

Access Newspaper ARCHIVE
NewspaperARCHIVE.com, the largest historical newspaper database online, contains tens of millions of newspaper pages from 1607 to present. Available on library public access computers at the Billie Jane Baguley Library and Archives.
AskART
AskART is an online database containing over 250,000 artists providing access to information about the artists biographies, auction records, financial graphics, magazine ads pre-1998, and images. Available on library public access computers at Billie Jane Baguley Library and Archives.
JSTOR
JSTOR is a full-text digital library of more than 1,500 academic journals, books and primary sources. Available on library public access computers at the Billie Jane Baguley Library and Archives.
