Introduction
The Fabric and Apparel Design (FYUP) is offered in ODL mode that integrates textile science, fashion design, and apparel manufacturing. The programme is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in fabric production, garment construction, surface design, and apparel development, while also fostering creativity, technical competence, and industry-oriented skills. This programme provides professional excellence in the fashion and textiles industry as designers, product developers, merchandisers, entrepreneurs, educators, and researchers.
Objective
The programme aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fabric and apparel manufacturing industry.
The programme intends to equip students with the technical knowledge and skills necessary for fabric and apparel production.
The programme seeks to develop students' expertise in manufacturing processes specific to the fabric and apparel industry and provide successful careers in fabric and apparel production.
Learner Target Group
The target group may include individuals with a Higher Secondary (10+2 with Science) qualification or equivalent from a recognized board.

Textile/Fabric Designer, Fashion Designer, Apparel Pattern Maker / Technical Designer, Fashion Illustrator, Fashion Merchandiser / Buyer, Visual Merchandiser, Fashion Educator/Trainer at private and government sector such as Govt. Skill center, fashion colleges and institutions, Entrepreneur as learners can start their own start up by the skills learned in this programme.
