Results
Ambition, progress and achievement go hand in hand at St Mary’s in our all-girls’ environment. Through inspirational teaching and outstanding facilities pupils excel opening doors to world-class universities and exciting careers. Pupils achieve exceptional GCSE and A Level results, with excellent progress as measured by sector-leading ‘added value’.
Success reflects both personal endeavour, excellent teaching, focus on wellbeing and good study skills
RESULTS
GCSE success
At GCSE, our pupils consistently shine. In 2025, 71% of all grades were 9–7, with one in three grades awarded at the very top level 9. More than 41% of girls achieved nine or more top grades.
Crucially, on average, pupils achieved more than a full grade higher than predicted, a clear demonstration of the value added achieved by each pupil. Behind every statistic is a story of a girl who has been stretched without stress. Small class sizes, inspirational subject specialists, and excellent facilities all play their part. Pupils not only achieve outstanding academic results but also develop the resilience, intellectual curiosity, and independence to thrive well beyond the exam hall.

Sixth Form and A Level achievement
Our Sixth Formers achieve impressive results. In 2025, 62% of A Levels were graded A*-A and 83% at A*-B, with Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) results particularly strong – 83% at A*-A.
These outcomes are the result of inspirational teaching with teachers who share the love of their subject, carefully tailored support, and fostering independent study skills.

University destinations
University destinations highlight the breadth and depth of ambition at St Mary’s. In 2025, 93% of students secured offers at Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge, and 98% gained entry to their chosen institution. From medicine, engineering and natural sciences to fine art, languages and the humanities, our pupils leave to pursue a wide spectrum of degrees and other qualifications.
Studying overseas is popular. Every year, students leave us to join prestigious global institutions such as NYU, Rice, and Trinity College Dublin.
Our alumnae follow diverse pathways, from research and innovation to the creative industries, making their mark worldwide. Each pupil leaves not only with excellent exam results but also with the confidence and independence to flourish wherever their future takes them.
