The Orthopaedic Surgery Section at Capital Health provides a full continuum of services, from pre-admission through your hospital stay to after-discharge follow-up. The department is staffed by specially trained nurses, inpatient rehabilitation specialists and other health care professionals trained in the care of orthopedic patients.
As the first Mercer County hospital to perform total hip and total knee joint replacement surgery, Capital Health has decades of experience getting patients back on their feet.
Capital Health is dedicated to the treatment and recovery of patients receiving total joint replacement surgery. Hundreds of total joint replacement surgeries are performed at Capital Health each year, and more than a thousand orthopedic surgeries will be performed this year alone at the Marjorie G. Ernest Joint Replacement Center of Excellence at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell.

Capital Health Adds Pulsed Field Ablation System, Improving Access to Care for AFib Patients in Mercer and Bucks Counties
Specialists from Capital Health’s Cardiac Electrophysiology Program, part of its Heart and Vascular Institute, unveiled a new, minimally invasive pulsed field ablation system at the Al Maghazehe Heart and Vascular Center located at Capital Health Regional Medical Center (RMC). The addition of the new system doubles the hospital’s capacity to treat atrial fibrillation (AFib) patients who are candidates for ablation.
