Mission Policies and Procedures CLEP Register for Accuplacer Placement Assessment ETS Proficiency Profile Exit Exam Correspondence examinations will be administered by appointment on a first-come first-served basis and a minimum of one week in advance of the examination date. Each semester Southern University at Shreveport administers the ETS Proficiency Profile to students who are in the process of graduating or transferring to a four-year institution. The ETS is a college-level assessment program produced by the American College Testing program designed to measure selected academic skills. The measurement of these academic skills gives Southern University at Shreveport information about the quality of education that students have received. The overall objective of ETS is to improve the quality of institutional instruction. It is required that the institution must have an official record of students completion of the ETS Proficiency Profile before they complete the process of applying for graduation or transferring or if it is determined that they have over forty-five (45) credit hours. There is no pass or fail basis for the test, however, the institution must show a score on student’s official record. Therefore, your cooperation is requested. Upon admission for the test you must present a current picture ID and be prepared to stay at least four and one-half hours. It is your choice as to which date you choose to take the test. However, failure to take this test on the scheduled dates will result in a $36 re-scheduling fee. NOTE: ALL Test fees are nonrefundable.
