Our Student Health Center is staffed by a Nurse Practitioner, Medical Assistant, and Consulting Physician. The healthcare team fosters student success by focusing on their physical needs and promoting healthy lifestyles. The Student Health Center provides a full range of primary, preventative, and urgent medical care services for Talladega students. The office has its own dedicated entrance situated on the right-hand side of the Student Activity Center. Student health information held by the Student Health Center is protected by federal and state laws, including the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). These laws protect the privacy of students’ health information and prohibit its disclosure without appropriate consent, except under limited circumstances. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our patients’ medical records in compliance with all applicable laws. For the safety of our campus community, students are required to complete the medical history form and have immunizations up-to-date before arriving on campus.The immunizations requested are supported by Talladega College, Alabama Department of Public Health, American College Healthcare Association, and Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
