Earlier this month, the theatre arts students of Mount St. Dominic Academy presented the fall drama, “You Can’t Take It with You.” The Pulitzer-prize winning comedic play, written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, sees good-natured stenographer Alice Sycamore (played by Isabella Castillo ’22), fall in love with her powerful boss Tony Kirby (played by Ryan Toomey, Cedar Grove HS ‘20). Commotion ensues when their drastically different families meet, and lifestyles and classes collide and clash. Students performed to packed houses on November 15

(who played the character of Essie Carmichael), Catherine Backfisch ’21 said of her role as Penelope Sycamore; “It’s such a fun environment where we can all be ourselves and put on an amazing show!”
