This year, Maclay School invites you to step into the spirit of discovery at our annual auction,
Safari Soirée

Rooted in the Swahili word for “journey,” safari represents adventure, curiosity, and the excitement of what lies ahead. Together, we will journey to strengthen and expand the programs that make a Maclay education exceptional — from classrooms and labs to fields and stages.

As the sun dips toward the horizon, Safari Soirée comes to life in a
palette of jewel tones, sunset hues, and rich textures
inspired by the spirit of the safari. Guests are encouraged to embrace
black tie attire
, elevated with color, pattern, and personality. Think polished silhouettes paired with bold details that reflect an evening of exploration, elegance, and vibrant energy.
The annual Maclay Auction offers a thoughtfully curated evening from start to finish. Guests will enjoy a digital silent auctiona high-energy live auction featuring premier items, a bourbon bar and signature cocktails, and a seated, chef-inspired dinner. As the night unfolds, the dance floor opens with a DJ keeping the energy high for a celebration that carries late into the evening.
Set against the backdrop of a sunset evening filled with celebration, this year’s auction is more than a party. It is an

to strengthen and expand the programs that make Maclay exceptional. From inspiring academics to thriving arts and athletics, your support fuels the experiences that shape tomorrow’s leaders.

What’s the dress code?
Black Tie preferred. Long dresses in sunset-inspired colors are encouraged for ladies.
Where do I park?
Complimentary valet parking will be available at the front of the Webster Center.
What time does the event begin?
The VIP Sponsors Cocktail Hour starts at 5:00 PM. General admission opens at 6:00 PM.
If I’m a Table Sponsor, can my guests attend the VIP Cocktail Hour?
Yes. All table guests are included.
How do I bid on auction items?
Bidding will be mobile throughout the evening, with the exception of the Live Auction.
Will there be a gluten-free option?
Yes. The menu will be posted on the website, and a gluten-free vegetarian option will be available.
Will fine wine be available?
Yes. A curated selection of fine wines will be available for pre-purchase or purchase during the event.
What time does the event end?
After the Live Auction, DJ Scully will keep the dance floor going until 11:30 PM.
What if I don’t have a table but would like to attend?
We’d love to have you. Individual ticket holders will be seated with other guests based on similar grades or shared interests whenever possible.
