All About Alleyn's Community and Partnerships Alleyn’s School Community and Partnerships The spirit of community sits at the very heart of Alleyn’s School. Alleyn’s Together, the School’s Partnership programme, brings the vision to life. These partnerships involve mutually beneficial collaborations with other organisations. Our partnerships in numbers Alleyn's in the Community Report There is so much value to be had in our partnerships, which is why it’s an area we’re constantly looking to grow and develop. Not only is it an opportunity for Alleyn’s to give back, it’s also a chance to foster new relationships, strengthen our offering, and share resources and ideas amongst teachers and pupils to help us all to become all we can be. Senior School Alleyn’s Together enables four main programmes across the school: Sharing facilities Between August 2022 and July 2023, 34 different community groups including local schools, charities and youth organisations used our facilities to deliver 47 partnership projects. Collectively over 4,900 people visited the School and 1,328 hours of access were provided free from charge, or with substantial discount, to support the community. Sports events During the summer term, 13 different local schools held a variety of activities at Alleyn’s. Six Sports days were held on the athletics track. Our team of swimming teachers and lifeguards delivered a learn-to-swim programme to enable 4 primary schools meet requirements under the national curriculum, and crucially teach hundreds of children to swim. Theatre productions Five local primary schools used the theatre for their Year 6 productions and were ably assisted by our theatre and technical staff throughout. Charity partnerships We enjoy successful relationships with a breadth of local charities and community organisations including The Norwood And Brixton Food Bank, Girls United, Kings College Hospital, Get Rid of it Donate, Lambeth & Southwark Primary Schools Football League, The St Matthew's Project and The Woodcraft Folk Youth Group.
