Model Railroad
The historic Randall Model Railroad exhibit is open every day with trains operating in automated mode during the week and run by volunteers on most Saturdays.
The Randall Model Railroad is one of the oldest continuously operating layouts in the Western US. It was originally constructed by a volunteer group called the Golden Gate Model Railroad Club beginning in the 1960s.
The trains running on the layout are detailed replicas of trains that can be seen running today on American railroads and trains that ran in the past. Saturday volunteer train operators are very proud of their models and enjoy discussing the details of each train with the public.
