FRD has a long history of contributing digitized materials to electronic databases, four of which are now cataloged Library collections. The “Country” collections are archives of past works, while the “Vietnam-Era POW/MIA Database” is the largest and most active resource, with new documents added quarterly. “Military Legal Resources” is a compilation of documents FRD updated and maintained for a number of years; it is now overseen by the Law Library of Congress. Collection Country Profiles This series of profiles of foreign nations is part of the Country Studies Program, formerly the Army Area Handbook Program. The profiles offer brief, summarized information on a country’s historical background, geography, society, economy, transportation and telecommunications, government and politics, and national security.
