Short-Term Buddhist Program (STBP)
Lumbini Buddhist University offers the Short-Term Buddhist Program (STBP) for individuals and groups interested in learning about Buddhist teachings and philosophy. These courses are designed for personal growth, academic study, spiritual and professional development, while maintaining high academic standards. The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical elements, focusing on key teachings, ethical principles, meditation, and philosophical discussions. Participants will gain a well-rounded understanding of Buddhism’s spiritual, ethical, and social aspects. The program uses a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, and workshops, to help learners develop critical thinking skills. The university is dedicated to creating an inclusive learning environment that supports beginners and advanced students alike, promoting and preserving Buddhist knowledge.

Program Objectives:
To provide a comprehensive understanding of Buddhist teachings and practices.
To introduce the literary, cultural, historical, and philosophical aspects of Buddhism.
To provide opportunities for participants, both academic and lay, to explore Buddhism’s diversity through academic approaches.
Admission Criteria:
Open to all individuals, both Nepalese and international, with an interest in Buddhism; no prior experience needed.
Applicants must submit an application form with a personal statement of intent.
Minimum educational qualification: School Leaving Certificate (or equivalent).
Each session requires a minimum of five participants.
Translation support is available for Tibetan, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Hindi speakers.
