Strategic Plan
In 2015, the Board of Trustees led the ISU community in the creation of a new strategic plan to carry our school mission forward – to set goals that would extend ISU’s vision over the next five years, while, at the same time, staying true to the core values and educational philosophy of our school.
Six goals were identified by all our stakeholders, each one of which is focused on ISU doing the best it can to prepare our students discover and achieve their best personal capabilities academically, to exhibit the characteristics of “international mindedness” and productive citizenship in their local and global communities, and to experience success in higher learning and throughout their lives.
ACADEMIC
ACHIEVEMENT
To continue to increase our students' academic achievement at all grade levels.
STUDENT
SUPPORT
To provide the support structures to help our students increase their motivation and capacity for success in school and life.
ICT
INTEGRATION
To continue to integrate purposeful and effective use of information and communications technology (ICT) across all curricular areas.
PARENT & STUDENT
ENGAGEMENT
To increase parent and student engagement with and support of ISU and all that it does by helping them gain a deeper understanding of ISU’s core values and its IB programmes.
COMMUNITY
RELATIONSHIPS
To continue to build, support and celebrate mutually beneficial activities and relationships between ISU and the wider Mongolian and international communities.
MARKETING &
ENROLMENT
To significantly increase the school’s enrolment by developing and implementing a marketing plan that promotes the ISU’s uniqueness, excellence, and international character.
