Eureka College is committed to State of Illinois students.
The Uniquely Eureka Promise
is a promise to assist students who permanently reside in Illinois, show financial need, and have been successful academically, to earn their
bachelor's degree
tuition free
at one of the finest colleges in Illinois.
It's Eureka College's hope that this program will provide students financial relief and allow them to stay focused on their academic achievements without the burden of financing a full-time tuition expense.

Illinois Resident
The Eureka College Promise Grant is designed to cover the remaining tuition charge for incoming students who meet the academic and financial aid requirements of the Promise program.
Eligibility Qualifications for the Illinois Eureka Promise Grant:
2.8 cumulative GPA or higher
(4.0 scale) – if transferring 12 or more credits from other colleges, the GPA requirement will be based on the 12 or more transferrable credits.
A valid FAFSA®
(Free Application for Federal Student Aid). To complete a FAFSA® visit:

Eligible and receiving full State of Illinois MAP and Federal Pell Grants.
* Review the State of Illinois MAP Grant and Federal Pell Grant eligibility requirements at the
Illinois Student Assistance Commission
and
Federal Student Aid

Note:
Illinois Student Assistance Commission may suspend the MAP Grant program if applicants reach budget limits, so students who complete their FAFSA after that suspension are not guaranteed to receive funds.
Pursuing 1st Bachelor’s Degree
- not offered for 2nd degree or certificate programs
Full-time degree seeking student
– not offered for part-time enrollment - enrollment of 15 credit hours a semester ensures full Illinois MAP grant amount and graduation timeline required to receive full Pell funds each year.
Meet all deadline dates:
recommend admissions application and FAFSA submitted prior to April 1.
The program is structured to cover the student’s Eureka flat-tuition charge for fall and spring semesters that is not covered by the student’s Federal Pell Grant and State of Illinois MAP Grant, and any other outside funding. If a student exhausts their life-time eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant and/or State of Illinois MAP Grant prior to matriculation (graduation), or loses partial funding as determined from their first semester in the program, it is the student’s responsibility to cover the amount of lost Pell and MAP Grant funds.
It is also the student’s responsibility for any non-covered cost such as but not limited to: fees, books, supplies, transportation, and room & meal plans if living on campus. Students can utilize our
college payment plans
or research
student loan options
to pay non-covered expenses.

Student must be a graduate from one of the out-of-state high schools listed below.
Kankakee Valley High School (Wheatfield, IN),
Ritenour High School (St. Louis, MO),
Any Hazelwood School District High School (St. Louis Metro, MO),
International High School of New Orleans (LA)
2.8 cumulative GPA or higher
(4.0 scale) – if transferring 12 or more credits from other colleges, the GPA requirement will be based on the 12 or more transferrable credits.
