Approved MAVcards will be available at the Info Desk on the first floor of the University Center. Step 3 Campus Arrival Purchase your parking pass Purchase your parking pass for the academic year. Due to ongoing construction and limited parking, we encourage first-time students not to bring cars to campus. As CMU continues to expand geographically, and with first-come first-served parking, students often struggle to find parking in close proximity to their residence hall. With an abundance of safe and free transportation options such as Mav Rides, The Dash and Mav Bike rentals, we find students can easily access on- and off-campus activities. Move-in for on-campus residents You receive an email invite to sign up for their move-in day and time on Wednesday, August 12 or Thursday, August 13. It will also be inside your applicant portal. Attend New Mav Days New Mav Days will be the official welcome to campus for incoming students on Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15.
