Bellarmine’s 17th Annual Summit on Human Dignity brought students together for a day of reflection, dialogue, and formation centered on this year’s theme: Healthy Masculinity.
The day began with a prayer inviting students into conversations grounded in humility and compassion, setting the tone for meaningful engagement with complex and personal topics. Keynote speaker Jason Page shared his journey of identity and faith, encouraging students to see themselves first as children of God and to grow into the men they are called to be.
Students then spent the majority of the day participating in more than 50 breakout sessions, many of which were designed and led by their peers. Topics spanned a wide range of issues connected to identity, culture, and justice, including masculinity in Latino communities and across Abrahamic religions, gender stereotypes in media, healthy communication and consent, equity in sports, housing justice, and global poverty.
In addition to discussion-based sessions, hands-on experiences invited students to engage through movement, creativity, and reflection. Activities included an NFL-style combine, gardening, art, meditation, yoga, and building projects—each offering a different lens through which to explore strength, identity, and connection.
Throughout the day, students approached conversations with openness and sincerity, creating space for both respectful dialogue and thoughtful challenge. The Summit concluded with a shared sense of purpose: to carry these reflections forward into daily life.
Rooted in the Jesuit tradition, the Summit on Human Dignity continues to be a cornerstone of the Bellarmine experience, forming young men who are reflective, compassionate, and committed to upholding the dignity of every person.
