A dynamic studio residency programme for BSU graduates and community artists, empowering professional creativity to thrive.
Emerge is a studio residency programme for Bath Spa University graduates working across art, design, performance, music, and creative media. Emerge's mission is simple: to help graduates thrive in freelance and self-employed careers while contributing to Bath’s vibrant creative ecology.
Launched in Autumn 2020, Emerge offers a unique, multidisciplinary creative practice space exclusively for graduates who have graduated within the past two years.
More than just a workspace, Emerge is a creative incubator designed to nurture emerging talent by providing vital studio space, tailored training, and meaningful support at a pivotal point in an artist’s career - bridging the gap between university and the professional world.
Unlike conventional incubation programmes, Emerge looks beyond purely economic outcomes, empowering graduates to build sustainable, fulfilling careers in the creative industries and to define success on their own terms.
