Opportunity: ISAC/Divinity School Postdoctoral Scholar
The University of Chicago Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures (ISAC) and Divinity School invite applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in religious and literary cultures of the Islamic World for the 2026—2029 academic years. This is a three-year, non-renewable appointment. The Postdoctoral Scholar will engage in research, curation, publication, and exhibition and conference planning. The Scholar will collaborate closely with ISAC’s conservation and exhibition preparation team and the Divinity School’s academic community.

LAMINE 4 awarded the 2025 Dr. Sona Aronian Book Prize for Excellence in Armenian Studies
ISAC Publications is pleased to announce that a monograph published last year in ISAC’s Late Antique and Medieval Islamic Near East (LAMINE) series, An Armenian Futūḥ Narrative, recently won the the 2025 Dr. Sona Aronian Book Prize for Excellence in Armenian Studies.
