As Director of Financial Aid at Woodbury University, Oscar is responsible for insuring the University complies with federal guidelines governing the Title IV financial aid program so you our students can benefit from all the government has to offer, in assisting you with meeting your educational goals.
Oscar has more than 35 years in Higher Education, both at the Undergraduate Level and the Graduate Level for both non-profit and for-profit institutions. Education is his passion especially when he can help you meet your educational goals. He has experience working with students from all backgrounds and is sensitive to your needs. He understands. If you ever want to have a good game of chess, he is open to all competitors.
If there is one thing he would like for you to take away. It is something a friend said to him over 45 years ago. You can never fail, because, “to fail is not a defeat; it’s a personal victory to know you have tried.”

Marina has spent the majority of her life in majestic Southern California. She has spent over 25 years working in the world of Higher Education- both in admissions and financial aid. Prior to working at Woodbury University, Marina spent years at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Hollywood, CA.
Some of Marina’s day-to-day tasks include reviewing financial aid eligibility, processing federal and private loans, federal verification, and counseling families on all aspects of federal financial aid. In addition, Marina oversees the Federal Work-study program. She is ready to answer all your questions and guide you through your journey at Woodbury. She works with Freshman, Transfer, and Graduate student populations.
In her free time, you can find Marina spending quality time with her two beautiful children and husband. They love to take advantage of all that California has to offer, whether it be hanging on the beach, camping in the mountains, or hiking trails at Griffith park. She also loves going to movies with her girlfriends.
