This course introduces newly hired Louisiana state employees to the Louisiana Employees Online (LEO) portal. Participants will learn how to access and navigate LEO to complete required onboarding and compliance training and to manage essential employee information, including payroll, benefits, and leave. The course is designed to help new hires become comfortable using LEO and understand how it supports their employment throughout their state service.
Registration will take place during the initial orientation session.
All three LDH ESF courses must be completed by April 30. All employees are expected to meet this annual compliance requirement. Please review your SuccessFactors training dashboard to ensure the course is finished and recorded before the deadline. As a reminder, always follow the timelines provided in the most up-to-date Mandatory Training Guidance document accessible from the LDH-DSSAS website.
1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
This beginner-friendly session is designed to equip learners with foundational Microsoft Teams skills needed to confidently navigate, communicate, and collaborate in today’s digital workplace. Participants will explore real-time examples and engage in hands-on simulations of the platform’s layout, features, and communication tools, and gain clarity on the differences between Teams and Zoom. You will leave with the technical confidence needed to communicate effectively with colleagues.

The course is designed to equip training coordinators and administrators with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively interpret and utilize curriculum status reports received from EDT.
1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
This two-part training introduces learners to Microsoft Word 365 by teaching how to navigate its interface and use key features to create professional documents. Participants will explore formatting text, inserting images and tables, and collaborating with built-in editing tools. The course also covers how to use ready-made templates to quickly design resumes, reports, letters, and other polished documents.
