In print publications and on the web, the appropriate first reference for the institution is the University of Colorado Denver. On the second reference, CU Denver is the preferred name. After first mention of University of Colorado Denver, titles can
utilize the preferred name.
For Example:
Dr. Robert Hobbins, a professor at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver)
Referencing Schools, Colleges, Centers, and Institutes
When referencing a school, college, center, or institute on the campus, the appropriate format is to name the school at the University of Colorado Denver or CU Denver.
For example:

Business School at CU Denver

TV Broadcast Guidelines

CU Denver is located in the heart of downtown Denver—Colorado's capital and biggest city. In addition to our presence in downtown Denver, CU Denver shares the Auraria Campus with two other separate and distinct institutions of higher learning, Community College of Denver (CCD) and Metropolitan State University at Denver (MSU Denver). CU Denver is not able to issue free parking passes on the Auraria Campus or near CU Denver buildings within downtown Denver. Almost all parking requires some type of payment or permit. More information on those parking options is provided on the

depending on where you are located.
If on the Auraria Campus to the west of Speer Blvd., you can connect to
AurariaNet
.
If you are in CU Denver buildings in downtown Denver on the east side of Speer Blvd., you can connect to CU Denver Guest.

The CU Denver
Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness
collaborates with campus partners to maintain key campus statistics and provide aggregate-level data and official reporting for the university. Find the latest data, including admissions, student demographics and outcomes, instruction, faculty and staff, finance, and more.
To confirm student or alumni status, please contact the
media relations team
and include the following information:
Full legal name and, if possible, include any previous names used during their time at the institution.
Date of birth to help distinguish individuals with similar names.
Any academic details you may have such as degree title and major/specialization, dates of attendance, graduation date, or expected graduation date.
Under FERPA and current CU Denver policy, only items designated by CU Denver as directory information, and only a limited amount of this information, are routinely disclosed by CU Denver university officials. The university retains the discretion
to refuse disclosure of directory information if it believes such disclosure would be an infringement on student privacy rights. Students may ask the university not to publicly disclose directory information.

All other filming on university grounds for internal and external purposes is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and requires varying levels of approval and permitting. A location and lease agreement will need to be put in place.
