Welcome to the School of Nursing and Health Sciences!
Career opportunities for nurses are expected to grow in the future as the population continues to live longer healthier lives, demanding innovative and efficient health care services.
In addition to Nursing, a number of Health Science courses are offered at Ocean County College. These courses focus on health and wellness. The courses are intended to provide education for students wishing to develop a deeper understanding of health.

Nursing Programs
The Nursing Program was established at OCC in 1966 and has been noted for its excellence in nursing education and student learning.
NURSING PROGRAMS AND CURRICULUM
The Nursing Program has different opportunities to obtain an Associate Degree (AAS) in Nursing leading to the Registered Nurse.
ON-SITE / ONLINE NURSING PROGRAM
Learn about admission requirements for the On Site Online Nursing Program, which is a unique option allowing students to attend nursing classes one day or more per week supplemented by web-assisted instruction.
Career Mobility Nursing Program
For Licensed Practical Nurses
The New Jersey Board of Nursing and National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission have approved the revised Career Mobility proposal.
CLINICAL PARTNERS
Students in the Registered Nurse Program gain their clinical experience at local clinical locations. Our clinical partners provide outstanding state-of-the-art clinical settings, supervised by a member of our faculty.

PREVIOUSLY UNSUCCESSFUL STUDENTS
This is for students who failed any two clinical NURS. courses (175, 176, 273, 274) or two non-clinical NURS. courses (174 or 275). The student will begin with Nursing 1.
Readmission to the nursing program provides two options:
