Volunteering at CRMC | Coffee Regional Medical Center The sense of family that pervades Coffee Regional Medical Center can be seen in the corps of volunteers who give their time to work at the front desk or in the gift shop, to carry flowers to patient floors or to smile and talk with families, giving directions or just visiting. Whatever your strengths or interests, whatever amount of time you have to offer, there’s a place for you among our volunteers. Meet Our Volunteers Some volunteers want to stay physically active and mentally challenged in retirement. Others want to make new friends or learn new skills. All want to help people. And, as Johnnie Crews puts it, “volunteering makes my heart feel good.” Larry Crosby For Larry Crosby, volunteering at CRMC is a way to give back to the institution where his late wife received such wonderful care. An added blessing, he says, was meeting another volunteer, who is now his second wife. Helen Casey Helen Casey says she knows many of the people at CRMC, because she taught half of them as a local first grade teacher for nearly 30 years. Volunteering in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit gives her a way to keep working with people.
