What we do Hungate organises exhibitions to showcase aspects of medieval art and architecture, as well as exhibitions of works by contemporary artists responding to this heritage. We also hold themed workshops for families and individuals. The building is generally open every weekend from March to October, whether or not an exhibition is running. A series of permanent displays highlight features of the building, and volunteers are happy to provide more information. Visitors are also welcome to spend time in our garden.
