Tulane Global Humanities Center Off and Running At a moment when many institutions are scaling back investment in the humanities, Tulane is doubling down. Bringing together academics from six different universities and 14 fields, the new Tulane Global Humanities Center launched its first symposium, focused on the biennial theme: Global Port Cities. Tulane Named Top Fulbright Producer for Fourth Straight Year Eleven students from Tulane were awarded Fulbright scholarships, six from the School of Liberal Arts. Faculty on Fire Exceptional works from our liberal arts faculty received recognition on the global stage over the past few months. And ICYMI… What were our faculty up to in 2025? On Thursday, April 9 New York Times Bestselling author George Saunders will come to campus for the Tulane University School of Liberal Arts’ Carole Barnette Boudreaux ‘65 Great Writers Series. His latest book, Vigil , will be on sale through Blue Cypress Books at the event. In honor and preparation for this momentous evening, on Wednesday March 11 , Professor Kate Baldwin will lead a free writing group through the New Orleans Public Library that is open to the public. SLA Rocks Mardi Gras for the Mind Didn’t get your fill of Mardi Gras? Don’t worry, The New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University (aka Mardi Gras for the Mind) is upcoming with no fewer than 23 representatives from the School of Liberal Arts, both faculty and alumni.
