In the environment of rapidly changing technology, polarized with global competitive intelligence, SSR College of Pharmacy was established in 2007 under the aegis of SSR Memorial Trust, Silvassa through the scrupulous efforts of Hon’ble Chairman Shri Mohan S. Delkar. The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Recognized by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, Mumbai and administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The institute is affiliated to the SavitribaiPhule Pune University (Formerly known as University of Pune), Pune.

The institute has an Auditorium with 240 seating arrangements used for conducting extracurricular seminars and conferences.
Laboratories
The laboratories are spacious and ventilated having adequate space for undergraduate, carry out experimental work smoothly.

Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, one of the five departments within the SSR College of Pharmacy is an integral part of pharmacy education program. It covers several aspects of new drug discovery with respect to novel drug design, synthesis and characterization of novel new chemical entities along with its development in collaboration with the other four departments of the Institute.

Pharmaceutics is a discipline of Pharmacy which deals with the formulation and development of old or new drug molecule into dosage form to provide safe, effective treatment to patient.
Infrastructure and List of Instruments & Equipments
Pharmaceutics Department of our college is well equipped with different mini industrial scale instrument which offer advantage for researcher to carry out their research. The department is regulated and governed by experienced staff.

Department of Pharmacognosy deals with the study of the drugs of natural origin. It involves study of physical, chemical, biological properties of drugs, drug substances of natural origin as well as the search for new drugs from natural sources. It involves study of the extraction, isolation and characterization of phytochemicals using different chromatographic and spectroscopy method.

Pharmacology is science subject, which connects the other discipline of pharmaceutical science with medicine. SSRCP got its full-fledged, independent Pharmacology department. The department has grown in Men and Material- Facility and infrastructure.
The department has three full fledged Laboratories are used for B.Pharm, M.Pharm-1 Practical and M.Pharm.-Il Research.
