Research and Legislative Reference Bureau (RLRB), National Diet Library (NDL)
The Research and Legislative Reference Bureau (RLRB), National Diet Library (NDL) is a specialized organization to assist MPs by providing reliable information and analysis. The RLRB publishes original reports as well as provides confidential research service on MPs’ request.
Since 2010, the RLRB has been implementing “Science and Technology Research Projects” focused on social, economic and legislative impact of emerging technology and deployment of technology. The projects are bureau-wide and interdisciplinary in collaboration with external experts. The Science and Technology Research Office (STRO) was established in the RLRB in 2010 to manage the projects and to enhance RLRB’s research capabilities on science and technology
The RLRB is an associate member since November 2016.
