Choice School is committed to ensure that every individual in our community is able to access, use and enjoy the programs and services that we offer. In order to do this, we need to ensure that our students, staff and parents have a voice in identifying, preventing and removing any barriers that may impede any form of accessibility. We aim to provide an environment in which our programs and services are accessible for all members of our community. In order to achieve this, we have outlined the following:
Collaborate with staff, students and parents with disabilities in the development and review of its accessibility plan.
Align school board policies and procedures with the principles of accessibility.
Improve access to facilities, policies, programs, practices, and services for students, staff, parents/guardians, volunteers, and community members.
Monitor our accessibility plans regularly and update as required.
We are currently in the process of establishing an accessibility team comprising of parents, teachers, administration and community members. This team will review feedback provided by the community and support the school in creating, reviewing and updating our Accessibility Plan as required.
Choice School has created an online feedback that includes a few questions. These questions ask for your feedback about your accessibility experiences. This feedback can be anonymous, or you can add your name and contact information if you wish to be contacted.
