DRAMA Camps for 2nd-9th Graders
Led by a team of professional teaching artists, Drama Camp is an enriching performing arts experience for boys and girls who have a passion for musical theater and drama. The program is structured to provide an introduction to the craft of performance or a more intensive study for those students with more experience. Campers are divided according to rising grade and age and focus on acting, dance, and singing with specialty classes offered in theater history, playwriting, directing, and costume design. Drama camps have a minimum weekly enrollment and will culminate in a fully realized musical theater performance. Auditions will be held during the first week of camp, and the final performances will take place during the last week of camp. If the camper is not in attendance week 1, they may arrange an audition time with the directors or submit a self tape. More information will be provided upon enrollment.
Highlights of Drama Camps include:
A Meet-the-Artist Program in which campers work with some of Broadway’s most exciting actors, designers, and directors
Acting, improvisation, and scene study
Music and singing
Dance and movement
Set design, costume design, and set tech
Weekly specialty classes in Shakespeare, mask making, and design
Weekly field trips
Daily outdoor sports and recess in Central Park

Drama Camp
: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Advanced Drama
: 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Drop off begins at 8:30 a.m.
Drama Camp (Rising 2-6)
Drama Camp requires a three-week enrollment (weeks 3, 4, and 5) and will culminate in a fully realized musical theater performance. Taught by professional teaching artists, the program focuses on acting, singing, and dancing with specialty classes in design and writing. Auditions will be held during the first week of camp and the final performance will take place during the last week of camp.
Advanced Drama Camp (Rising 7-9)
The Advanced Drama Camp for rising 7th-9th graders is an intensive study of musical theater performance taught by professional teaching artists. This camp requires a four-week commitment (including weeks 2, 3, 4, and 5) and culminates in a fully realized musical theater performance. Advanced classes in scene study, musical theater singing, and Broadway dance are taught alongside specialty classes in design and writing. Auditions will be held during the first week of camp and the final performance will take place during the last week of camp.
