The rooms also include a loveseat to make overnight sleeping comfortable for the new dad or your support person. Our birthing suites make it possible for you to labor, deliver, and recover all in the same (home-like) room setting. Throughout your entire labor and delivery, our nurses will be there to help take care of your needs. Our birthing suites provide you and your family with a private, safe and comfortable environment. We also offer state-of-the-art technology, complete with a surgical suite that allows Cesarean sections to be performed, if necessary, right in the labor and delivery area. Protecting your new baby Pomerene Hospital has installed the Safe Place® Infant & Pediatric Security Solution , which is specifically designed to protect infants from an abduction using wireless technology. Each infant wears a small, lightweight transmitter around his or her ankle. Tags continuously communicate, or “check in,” with wireless equipment on the maternity unit.
