Nominations open for Round #7 grants
April 2026
The RPH Imaging Research Fund is now open to applicants for radiology-related research for grants up to
$80,000.
Applications must be submitted by COB 15 May 2026.
Applications will be assessed in June 2026, with funding made available from July 2026.

Small project grants
Small project grants of up to $20,000 can be applied for at any time for radiology-related research.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible, the application must meet ALL the following criteria:
At least one of the Principal Investigators in the research proposal must be in clinical practice at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) or another WA Health Service imaging teaching site as a:
Radiologist
Nuclear Medicine Physician
Medical Imaging Technologist
Nuclear Medicine Medical Imaging Technologist
Sonographer
The research project must be based and/or conducted within WA.
Applicants may submit applications as Principal Investigator in any financial funding round.
The Principal Investigator should not submit applications for funding for more than three projects at any one time.
All investigators involved in the project must be listed and sign the application and note their primary location.
The project must address an area of research in Clinical Imaging or Basic Imaging Health Sciences.

Please ensure that your email is less than 20mb in total.
The Committee
The RPH Imaging Research Committee was established on 1 October 2019 to manage and distribute the annual budget to Imaging Research.
Its responsibilities are to:
receive applications for expenditure of funds for Imaging Research in WA
assess applications and distribute funds according to the research funding principles.
