Requests for information under the Right-to-Know Law must be submitted in writing to the designated Open Records Officer. A
Right-to-Know Request Form
has been developed to assist the public in making a request.
Pursuant to the discretion granted under the RTKL, PASSHE and the State System universities, including Kutztown University, will not fulfill anonymous requests.
Appeals
The law also established an
Office of Open Records
. The mission of the Office of Open Records is to enforce the new Right-to-Know law and to serve as a resource to citizens, public officials and members of the media. This office will also review appeals for record requests that were denied by the University.
