Sc. (Hons) - Agriculture B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture at Jagannath University B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Program was started from the academic session 2014-15. The Faculty of Agriculture has adopted the course content and guidelines as per the recommendation of the ICAR. The syllabus and guidelines of 4th Deans’ Committee were adopted initially from the academic year 2014-15 to 2016-17 and the Fifth Deans’ Committee recommendations have been followed from the academic session 2017-18. Furthermore, the Sixth Deans’ Committee recommendations have been implemented from the academic session 2024-25 for new batches while other batches followed the recommendations of 5th Dean’s committee report implementing the undergraduate syllabus with 20 percent regional resilience and are common throughout India. B. Sc. Agriculture Program has a strong faculty, well equipped 13 laboratories, agronomic fields, and tractor and farm equipment as per ICAR norms. The department has all the required facilities of Poly-house, Vermi Compost unit for organic agriculture, drip and sprinkler irrigation system. It has units of medicinal and aromatic plants. The B.
