Prefects strive to be positive role models across all year groups, supporting the day-to-day running of the School and championing its charitable endeavours. The team meets weekly and is led by our Deputy Head, Mr Eyles, providing regular opportunity for collaboration, reflection and initiative. Prefects are selected during the Lower Sixth, with their tenure formally beginning at the start of the Trinity Term and concluding at the end of the Lent Term in the Upper Sixth. This structure ensures that, as examinations approach, they are able to give appropriate focus to their academic commitments while having already made a significant contribution to school life. Heads of School Each year, the Head appoints a team of Heads and Deputy Heads of School, following a voting process involving both Sixth Form pupils and staff. These senior leaders serve as figureheads and ambassadors for the school, modelling its values and setting the standard for others to follow. They act as advocates for the pupil body, representing the school with integrity while ensuring that pupils’ voices are heard. The Heads of School meet with the Head and the Head of Sixth Form four times each term for leadership development and review meetings, where they reflect on their impact and receive guidance in all aspects of their role. They also work closely with Mr Jones in leading the School Council, serving as a key link between pupils and staff by raising concerns and discussing ideas on behalf of their peers. Regularly, they address the whole school in assembly, providing updates and feeding back on matters discussed.
