Master of Arts in Teaching
In this section:
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) prepares highly qualified mid-career professionals
and recent higher ed. graduates as secondary school teachers. The program is designed
for individuals without teaching credentials but who have successfully completed a
baccalaureate degree and wish to become a teacher in an expeditious fashion. The MAT
is not an advanced credential for practicing teachers but rather a graduate pathway
to teacher licensure.
