Master of Education in Elementary Education
In this section:
The Master of Education in Elementary Education program is designed specifically for
elementary education teachers to gain a deeper understanding of current methods and
research associated with teaching in the elementary classroom by exploring key areas
such as cross-curricular literacy, language arts and math instruction, and integrating
technology purposefully for younger learners.

There is a non-refundable $35.00 application-processing fee. You can pay by credit

Note: DSU graduate programs are primarily online classes and do not support the F1
student visa process.
Step 2 – Submit All Application Materials
Transcripts
Official transcripts from all institutions attended.
One transcript must show you were awarded a baccalaureate degree from a regionally
accredited institution. The Admissions Office must have official transcripts (transcripts
having an appropriate seal or stamp) of all your previous undergraduate and graduate
records for your application to be considered complete.
A regionally accredited institution must grant the bachelor's degree.
You must have an overall undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to attain
full standing in the program. If you have a graduate degree, you may be admitted in
full standing if the final GPA of that degree is at least 3.0 or equivalent. If you’ve
taken any graduate course, the graduate GPA must be at least 3.0.
You must have adequate preparation in the field relevant to the degree being sought
and must show potential to undertake advanced study and research as evidenced by academic
performance and experience.
Personal statement
A written statement of professional goals in light of your philosophy including a
description of your preparation in the field of education.
Step 3 – Work With an Advisor to Enroll in Your Courses
Your completed application will be forwarded to the School of Education, and you will
receive communication about how to schedule a time to speak with an advisor and enroll
in classes.
This program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
